Wool Fundraising Event commentary by
organizer and friend of BCCCPA Director Cecilia Maerov.

Hi Friends:

I am involved in a Yarn and Knitting/CROCHET Supply Sale which is going to be held at the Floral Hall, Van Dusen Gardens on Sunday, February 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The incredible inventory has been generously donated by John Sisler whose wife, Deanna, passed away in 2016 (Deanna had an on-line knitting business). All the proceeds from the sale are being donated to The British Columbia Childhood Cancer Parents’ Association ( BCCCPA is a registered non-profit charitable society, whose mission is to help families who have children with cancer and who are struggling financially by providing them with aid through the Family Financial Aid Program.

If you are a knitter/crocheter, you will find an amazing selection of not just yarn, but also supplies, patterns, buttons etc. at up to 75% off retail prices. If you aren’t a knitter, perhaps you would like to take it up …. or perhaps you could pass the information on to someone you know who does knit/crochet and would be interested in coming? Any help to get the word out on the event would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your support.” – Moira
